Blueprint4 is 10 years old! This year, we’ll be celebrating 10 years of impact in the St. Louis community, helping to connect thousands of kids with opportunities to learn, grow, and have fun! We’ll be looking back at some of the milestones we’ve reached over the years, and what the next 10 years of our mission looks like.
Where It All Began
Blueprint4 was created in 2015 by the Clark-Fox Family Foundation with the goal of simplifying the summer camp search process. Previously, families had to research individual summer camps by themselves, which could often take hours! Blueprint4 was built to organize this information in a way that made it easy for families to search, find and compare the best summer learning opportunities for kids.
Our search platform has only grown and gotten better over the years, thanks in part to community demand. We’ve added listings for college prep, STEM learning, after school, school breaks, and more. And most importantly, it has remained free-for-all, supported by investors who care deeply about St. Louis youth and access to education.
The Need in Our Community
Blueprint4 is not just a search platform. It is a tool that helps to break down barriers across communities. When families can easily search for camps that fit their budget or find programs that are near home or work, it means more kids get the chance to attend programs that can have a meaningful impact on their educational and emotional development.
Without access to out-of-school programming, kids and young adults suffer the consequences of learning loss and missed opportunities for growth and mentorship. We believe it is our collective responsibility to ensure our young people have access to grow and thrive. We ALL have a role to play in fostering the next generation of leaders in St. Louis.
Looking Forward
We have a lot going on in 2024! First and foremost, we’ll continue to maintain and grow our search platform to make sure access to out of school programs remains free and easy for families. Our annual fall Camp Summit will be a big celebration this year for our camp providers and partners! Families, make sure to stop by the Blueprint4 booth at our upcoming camp fairs with Maplewood Richmond Heights School District and Ferguson-Florissant School District.
