ST. LOUIS, MO. (KTVI)- The Humane Society of Missouri (HSM) has teamed up with the app Blueprint4SummerSTL to provide an enriching summer experience for all kids.
To promote the app, Programs Manager Allie Cicotte stopped by the Fox 2 studio this morning. Cicotte was joined by Angela Smith of the HSM and China, a Black Lab available for adoption from their St. Louis city location now.
The Blueprint4SummerSTL app is a comprehensive and easily accessible summer program database for children in the St. Louis region. Among the 3,000 programs listed on the app, children who love animals can find multiple camps offered by the HSM. These camps allow children to spend their summer learning about and spending times with animals.
The HSM offering several styles of camps through the app, including a one week-long Olympic-themed day camp will explore the secret life of shelter pets, med veterinary scientists and amazing animal champions.
The Blueprint4SummerSTL app is searchable by age, gender, location, interests and price range to ensure children find a camp that fits their personality. The app has expanded out further in the metro area, now including some programming in east St. Louis and parts of Illinois. There are over 1,000 sessions offering scholarships to children, and over 1,600 that offer before or after care.
