KPLR 11: Finding the right program for your children this summer

Mar 25, 2016 | Latest News

ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR)-  Blueprint4SummerSTL want to help find an enriching summer experience for all kids.

To promote the app, Programs Manager Allie Cicotte stopped by the KPLR 11 studio this afternoon. Cicotte was joined by Vicki Kahn of St. Louis Arts Works.

The Blueprint4SummerSTL app is a comprehensive and easily accessible summer program database for children in the St. Louis region. Among the 3,000 programs listed on the app, teenagers who love art can “learn and earn” with St. Louis Art Works.

The Blueprint4SummerSTL app is searchable by age, gender, location, interests and price range to ensure children find a camp that fits their personality. The app has expanded out further in the metro area, now including some programming in east St. Louis and parts of Illinois. There are over 1,000 sessions offering scholarships to children, and over 1,600 that offer before or after care.

Blueprint4SummerSTL’s tips for creating an enriching experience for children:

  • Start now. Camps are already accepting sign-ups and it never hurts to plan ahead.
  • Use the app to determine which camps best fit your family’s needs based on subject, location, age, cost and more.
  • If you’re confused on where to start, simply go to Blueprint4Summer.com and begin exploring.
  • There are camps for all kids, with more sessions listed and more zip codes this year.
